Stop Press…….this is an initial report. Full report and more photos will follow in the coming weeks

The 2009 Wing Spring Camp was held at DTE Swynnerton from 22nd to 29th May. 345 cadets and staff from the Wing attended the week long camp, taking part in Fieldcraft, Marksmanship, and many other activities. The highlight of the week was the visit of a Puma Helicopter from RAF Aldergrove.

The Puma was on route to RAF College Cranwell to take part in a Graduation Parade and called into Swynnerton for 2 hours. In total 60 cadets enjoyed an exhilerating trip in the helicopter. The visit ended with the Puma hovering above and behind the 60 cadets whilst photos were taken. A truly magnificent event!

Another first was the arrival of one of the new ATC Climbing Walls from RAF Cranwell. This was the first time the new Wall was used and every cadet on the camp had a go during the week.
